DMIC Co-Director Dr Jodie Hunter and DMIC Mentor Don Biltcliff were recently in Niue to support the Niue Primary School teachers with in-class support and intensive staff meetings. They delivered DMIC professional development to new staff and helped teachers in the primary school and ECE to contextualise mathematics tasks for Niuean students and anticipate student solutions. Jodie and Don were really impressed with the amazing work ethic of the Niue staff who put in three hard days work. It was a very rewarding (and warm) visit for them.
